Several hundred people gathered on February 14, 2015 at Westlake Park in Seattle for a vigil honoring the lives of Deah Barakat, Yusor Abu-Salha and Razan Abu-Salha, who were fatally shot in their Chapel Hill, North Carolina apartment on February 10.
I didn’t watch most of the Super Bowl but I still ended up wandering around Seattle’s downtown in the final minutes of the fourth quarter, and a few hours after the game. Despite the Patriots’ Super Bowl 49 win, some Seahawks fans took to Seattle’s streets after the game to celebrate the season — complete with 12th Man flags, a giant rolling speaker to blast dance tunes, and an undying pride for their team.
My favorite grumpy photographer/Portlander, Andrew Howard a.k.a. ABH a.k.a. A17, visited Seattle this past week.
